Hi Reader,

Last weekend, we had Roland's parents over, which meant indulging in lots of Chinese dumplings 🥟 and handing over the complete household. After almost 9 years, it still feels strange, and I’m still learning to accept help.

But with the extra time, I finally finished something I’m really excited about: The Mini-Mindfulness Course, launching on October 29th!

And guess what? It’s completely free!

Here’s what you’ll learn over 5 days:

  • Day 1: Am I meditating right? Know what meditation really is (and isn’t), so you can stop second-guessing yourself.
  • Day 2: The one skill for instant calm. Discover the secret to staying peaceful, no matter what life throws at you.
  • Day 3: Make meditation a habit. Learn my top strategy to make mindfulness part of your daily routine—like brushing your teeth.
  • Day 4: Handle tough emotions. Use my proven method to manage uncomfortable feelings without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Day 5: Bring mindfulness into your busy life. Get 3 powerful strategies to stay grounded, even on hectic days.

At the end, you’ll also get a handy PDF that recaps everything.

Ready to feel more calm, present, and alive in just 5 days?

Join for free and become a meditator!

(I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll offer this again—so don’t miss out!)

Let's dive into today's article 🤿

Last week, I met a CFO of a start-up. As she sat across from me, her exhaustion was clear. She had dark circles under her eyes and a tired smile that barely hid how much she was struggling. And as she told me about her life, I couldn’t stop thinking, How can anyone live like this?

But then I remembered… I used to be just like her. When you’re deep in the fog of stress, you don’t see how bad things really are. It just feels normal.

Yes, we all know start-up life is busy. But this?

She told me working until midnight — or sometimes all night — is her normal. She only manages because her kids are with her every other week. On those weeks, she just puts food on the table, tucks them into bed, and goes straight back to work.

Everyone is pulling her in different directions. The CEO, the board, the sales team — everyone needs something right away, and she’s expected to deliver.

By the end of our meeting, I just wanted to hug her and say, You don’t have to live like this. There’s another way.

Ever since, one question has been stuck in my mind: Why do we choose to live like this?

There is another way…

Here are 4 things mindful people quit to live calmer, happier lives.

🧘‍♀️ Mindfulness Practice
I share one practice for you to try every week:

When was the last time you felt truly worthy?

This week I invite you to explore the power of affirmations to nurture your self-worth from within.

Feeling worthy isn’t about waiting for external validation; it’s about cultivating a deep, unwavering belief in your own value.

Because you are worthy just by breathing air and being on this planet.

Take a moment now to get comfortable. Close your eyes, place your hands gently on your heart, and begin to slow down your breath.

Now, quietly say to yourself:

  • ⭐️ I am worthy of love and kindness.
  • ⭐️ I am enough just as I am, in this moment.
  • ⭐️ I trust myself now.
  • ⭐️ I am kind to myself when things go wrong
  • ⭐️ I love and accept myself.
  • ⭐️ I deserve to be happy and fulfilled.

Feel the weight of these words sink in.

With every repetition, notice how your body responds.

Maybe you feel a little lighter, a little more open.

📚 Your homework: Affirmations are like seeds—nurture them every day this week, and see if you feel different at the end of the week.

If this practice makes a difference in your life reply to this email and let me know.
