The miracle is not to walk on water.

The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.

Hi Reader,

12 years ago I had so much pain inside I had no idea how to handle it. 😣

My life was a disaster and I found myself googling ‘How to handle the pain inside?’

My only solutions were shopping and alcohol.

I found a few answers on Google like positive affirmations it helped a little bit but it couldn’t ease the sharp pain I felt all the time after my life crushed all over me.

It took me months to feel better.

I wish somebody would have just told me to try these 11 mindfulness practices.

That’s why I created the Mindfulness Emergency Kit 🚨 —11 easy-to-follow mindfulness practices to calm anxiety, stress, and worries fast, even on the toughest days.

Get your ‘Kit’ here at no cost—it’s only available for a short time.

Let's dive into today's article 🤿

Sometimes, we just want someone to tell us what to do — a guide when life feels overwhelming.

When I was deep in my own struggles, I wished someone had handed me an exact list of what to do and what not to do.

Through trial and error (and reading countless mindfulness books 📚), I found my way with these ten rules.

I don’t follow them perfectly.

Life is messy, and I stumble.

But I practice, I improve, and over time, I’ve begun to feel more alive and present — especially when things don’t go my way.

If you feel the same, I’m sharing my notes from years of practicing mindfulness with you. 📝

Here are the 🔟 rules I try to live by — maybe they’ll guide you, too.

🧘‍♀️ Mindfulness Practice
I share one practice for you to try every week:

Q4 is the busiest season of the year in business/at work and private, too, with all the holidays coming up.

It looks like full calendars and long to-do lists for most of us.

I invite you to still make space for rest until year-end.

📆 Open your calendar and try to find at least one empty slot each week until year-end and block it for an activity you know fills your cup.

That could be:

  • 📖 Reading time
  • 💆‍♀️ Spa / Massage appointments
  • 🚶‍♀️ A walk in nature
  • 🙆‍♀️ Join a yoga class
  • 🧘‍♂️ Meditate

I did this exercise last year and it was a true life-saver.

I'll do exactly the same as last year and book a massage once a week.

A part of me already wonders how I'm going to make this work but that's why I put it into the calendar before everything fills up.

☑️ What's scheduled will get done!

It feels so good to plan and know I won't put myself last.

As Katie Reed says 'Self-care means giving the world the best of you instead of what's left of you.'
